If The World Ended Tomorrow...

If the world was to spontaneously end tomorrow would you be completely satisfied with how you lived today? After you've finished reading this, I hope you can honestly say you walked away with a different mindset on life.

Have you ever had a bad fight with someone you’ve never made amends with or had someone you wish you could tell you loved them one last time? I know if the world ended in the next 24 hours I would at least try to reconnect with them, and if it didn’t work at least I wouldn’t regret not trying.

If the world ended tomorrow would there be someone you would want to say “I love you” to before it’s all too late? Maybe a grandparent who would love to see your face or a parent you cut out of your life years before. Would you spend a few of your remaining hours talking to them or do something differently? Either way it’s up to you.

Maybe you’ve lived with your family all your life and decided you needed a day worth of new adventure in your life. Would you go to the nearest airport and board the first flight you see? Would you spend your hours in church talking to the Man above? Would you quit your job instantly and run home to your family?

Most importantly, would you do something for yourself or something for another person? If the world was ending tomorrow, would you be satisfied with today? Would you be satisfied with what you did with your life? If your answer is no, I wouldn’t take that with a grain of salt. Anything can happen at any time. It’s your life and your choice, make today great, and if there’s a tomorrow make it even better.

Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues.
