It's ridiculous how easy it is to grow tired of the same schedule every day. I'm a creature of habitat, which means I don't usually have a problem with having repeated the same activities each day until I decide to switch up my lifestyle. However, when life gets a little hectic, your whole rhythm can fall out of whack. In my case, it was exercising. Even though I have been consistently working out for almost six years, which is a hobby I have stuck with the longest, I still find myself at roadblocks when it comes to being creative.
Before I knew it, I was going to the gym performing sloppy sets and not giving myself the proper recovery or rest I needed. Or I would "get too busy" to go to the gym for a few days. This has been a phenomenon that has only occurred this summer, but recognizing the problem helps me realize there is room for improvement and prosperity in the long run. To move forward from this situation, the first thing I realized is I can't dread going to the gym because I have to get in a good workout. Instead, I should want to get in a workout in order to witness the results. If a person is motivated enough to see the long-term results on the body, there is more organization and an enormous amount of willpower to get through a set.
A workout should essentially be a stress-reliever and creativity expansion of your mind and body. When work is starting to get stressful or the homework load can be a lot, I like packing up some extra gym clothes and shoes in my bag that way I can relieve some tension the right way. In addition, it's fun to switch up the type of workout and who to take to the gym. I know I love going to the gym with people who love working out as much as I do because it makes the experience more fun and the other person can help push to your limit.
In short, it's important enough to implement a little physical activity in daily life. Getting in the grind is a mountain to climb, but once you get at the top you realize how much it was worth it. Unfortunately, even the best have to fall off for a little while to realize that you have to find the fun in the workout because the workout will not always be fun. I know when I'm pushing my hardest (in the safest way possible, of course), I am sore tomorrow. I seek to have that feeling of dedication and work towards my body because it is one thing I can control and conquer.
