The new year is upon us and you know what that means: New Years Resolutions. New Years resolutions can be tough. Most tend to set extremely high, unmanageable expectations for ourselves, then give up as soon as we slip up once. So this year, instead of trying to hold yourself to difficult standards and rules that take all of the fun out of trying to improve yourself, why not just work on some things instead? It is okay if you mess up, it is okay if you have to try again, you are working on it and you are getting there.
In this new year:
1. Take time by yourself to just relax every week
2. Spend more time with God every day
3. Eat healthier
4. Exercise more
5. Spend more time with your family and friends
6. Spend less time on your phone or watching TV
7. Spend more time outside
8. Take more opportunities
9. Do more for others
10. Live more simply
This year, leave behind the difficult, specific resolutions, and instead resolve simply to better yourself as you can, not giving up when you slip up, or wearing yourself out.
Happy New Year, and may it be your best, most blessed year yet!
