Working out is something that I feel like I'll always have mixed feelings about. I either absolutely love it or regret getting out of my bed to even go to the gym. It's a love-hate relationship, really. But, I've come to understand how important working out is not only for your body but for your mind.
Working out all starts with you and your mind. I don't know about you, but I will come up with every excuse I can find to not workout even though I know it'll be beneficial in the long-run. But, that's just my mind being weak.
It's time to stop letting those negative thoughts control what we do, and put the positive thoughts in the spotlight. How do you do that? Through the beauty of mantras.
Here are 11 mantras that will actually help you get off your ass and beat those negative discouraging thoughts that prevent you from being a happier healthier you.
Breathe in positivity, breathe out negativityÂ
I learned about mantras during my a yoga class I took in high school. Not only did this class help my body become more flexible, but it changed my whole mentality on being able to find peace within. During a meditation session, my yoga instructor told us to repeat a mantra to ourselves to keep our minds focused on thing at a time. By following the mantra and using this as a breathing exercise, your mind will become more clear about doing what's right for you and your body.

I am a firm believer in believing in yourself. Of course, it's not always easy, but I know you can get there. Repeat this mantra to yourself to finally start believing in yourself! Gain that confidence to go better yourself.

Don't let the reason you workout be to impress others. Like I said before, working out starts with you. When you start doing things for yourself to better yourself, the results are that much more rewarding. It's okay to put yourself first!

I've had to say this one to myself over a million times just to get me to workout. Instead of trying to find every excuse in the book for why you shouldn't work out, start thinking of the reasons why you should.

Now this is something I truly believe in. When I'm able to stay consistent with my workouts, my whole entire perception of myself changes and my self-esteem skyrockets. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful in their own skin and love the way they look.

Don't you want to be able to look in the mirror and finally say, "I did it"?
The stronger your mind and body become, the weaker your insecurities becomeÂ
After going through multiple trials and errors with working out, I've come to learn that the more I stayed consistent with my workouts, the more I wanted to workout and genuinely better myself. I started to feel confident and accept my insecurities.

If you read Nike's Instagram bio, it says, "If you have a body, you are an athlete." Anyone without any serious injuries is able to workout and put his or her body to the test. Repeat this to yourself to remind yourself you're capable of anything.
 Giving up is not an optionÂ
If you don't making giving up an option, the opportunity to give up doesn't exist.
Working out doesn't have to be something we dread, but without the right mindset, it's easy to see things in a negative light. Hopefully, by utilizing these 11 mantras, you'll be able to get back in the gym without a sweat.
