Everyone who has worked in fast food, whether in high school or during college, knows the struggle of the work behind the scenes in a restaurant. It takes patience, multi-tasking skills, and a good attitude, but some things just make employees go nuts. I have worked in fast food for three years now and I feel like I have seen it all, but customers always find a way to surprise me. If you work in fast food, you will probably relate to these situations and amazing Spongebob memes.

1. When you finally get a chance to clean the lobby, then three giant family's walk in, looking ravenous.

2. When you sit down to finally take your break, and then a whole group of people walks in and you just kinda sit there hoping that your manager doesn't call you up to help.

3. When you say, "maybe today will be a slow day', and then the apocalypse of customers happens.

4. When your manager asks you to stay and extra hour and it's a decision between another $8.25 in your paycheck, or going home and watching the next episode of Shameless.

5. When you explain something to a customer five times and they still do not understand.

6. When you go above and beyond for a customer and they tip you 12 cents; like you couldn't round it up to a dollar? I'm poor.

7. When you are cleaning the lobby and you notice some old pervert checking you out; seriously, I am working here.

8. When people come in 5 minutes before closing, knowing that you are closing, order a crap ton of food, eat in the restaurant, leave a mess, and don't tip; thats when you know it's a bad night.

9. When you are the only experienced employee working a lunch/dinner rush, and you are running around like a chicken with your head cut off because no one knows how to do anything.

10. When your manager makes you pay for the food you ate.

11. When a customer pays for their meal with change and you have a giant line of people to ring out.

12. When your coworkers are talking about their personal lives and you're sitting there minding your own business, wondering when they are going to shut up.

13. When you take a double shift and you've worked 11 hours in a row, but you're thinking of the money you're making.

14. When you just got done with a three-hour lunch rush and the front door opens up.

15. When you are serving people you know, but you act like you don't know them and hope that they don't recognize you.

16. When you realize you should be getting $300 in your paycheck but then taxes took away most of your hard earned money.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
