Summer break is meant to be just that, a break from classes, professors, deadlines, and overall responsibilities. But what happens your first summer as a college student is that you realize that responsibilities do not end just because school does. Summer has now become a 3-month break from school to go into the workforce and work as much as possible. You know that because you are working as much as you can to save as much money.
You do not have much free time to hang out with friends or go out to dinner. You do not have the pleasure of staying home all day and binge watch on Netflix. It all sucks but the paycheck at the end of the week should make it all worth it.
You will be so thankful when Fall semester comes around and your bank account is not negative or $50.00. You will be able to pay for books or drinks at the bar. Working like crazy this summer may seem like a lot but there are rewards in doing so in the long run. With that being said, do not neglect yourself from having no fun this summer. Take a day off and go do something fun or do nothing at all. Spend a day exactly how'd you like it and enjoy summer.
