5 Reasons Why The Work Really Is Worth It

1. The Feeling You Get When You Arrive In Daytona.

There is nothing like the feeling you get when the bus is heading over the bridge and you are getting closer to your destination in Daytona. The excitement sets in and you can't wait to get off the bus. Cheerleaders will be everywhere checking into their hotels and already practicing, you will feel like you just walked onto to set of Bring It On.

2. When You Hit Those Skills You Have Been Working On All Year.

All of those times when you pushed yourself harder or stayed later at practice was worth it. When you finally hit all of your skills on the mat that you have been working on tirelessly is one of the best feelings you could have. You will be in tears by the time you get off the mat knowing that you just gave it your all. It wouldn't have happened without the blood, sweat, and tears that you pushed through to keep on going throughout the season to get you to this moment.

3. The Feeling You Get When You Are About To Take The Mat With Your Sisters.

You are anxious and excited with adrenaline pumping through you as you are ready to take the mat with your family. You have each others backs and you are ready to show the world what you can do. The lights are bright and you are in a circle holding hands ready to storm the mat to show the judges and the other teams what you got. You are ready to get out there with your sisters and work harder than you ever have before for each other.

4. The Feeling You Get When You Finish Your Routine Knowing You Did The Best You Could Do.

When you get off that blue mat and you know you just did the best routine you think you could have ever performed it becomes one of the most amazing feelings in the world. There will be many tears of joy and many hugs. Even if you didn't place within your original goals you will be happy that you just left a 110% of your effort out there on that mat.

5. You're Competing Against Some Of The Best Teams And You Are One Of Them.

You have to remember that you are competing against some of the best teams in the nation while you are down in Daytona. However, it is even more important to remember that YOU are one of them. Know that you are one of the best and you will show and prove to them that you are. You can do anything when you work hard and be confident. All you have to do it believe in yourself and in each other and you'll be unstoppable.

P.S. One of the most important things to remember while you are in Daytona is to have fun with your routine and your sisters!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
