When it comes to getting a job, most kids are not very thrilled. The thought of giving up their freedom and their social life just might be the most unappealing thing. But although it may not be a fun job, getting one helps motivate us to work hard and to develop a work ethic. The one major thing that you learn from work is that you develop relationships that will last forever.
Work friends make work a heck of a lot less miserable. When you have those days at work where it seems like you just can't get a break, don't feel too bad. Because everyone else feels the same exact way. They are always really awesome about picking up your slack especially when you feel like you just want to cry. They will always have your back, no matter what and they will be the first ones to defend you, whether its from a manager or a customer! (Rachel)
Although you guys grew up separately and may have went to different schools, there is nothing that beats your gossip sessions. It's very crazy to think that the people that were complete strangers a year ago, are now your best friends. I would not trade my work family for anything, they are the only ones who understand when you're stressed at work and it's amazing that they are always willing to step in to help.
You guys basically become a family, and even though none of you are blood related, there is nothing you wouldn't do for them.
The lingo and the inside jokes are probably one of my favorite parts. "Oh no, Brandon's here again.." and "Shijapuh" And even though, no one else understands, you guys will always think its funny.
I love my work family more than words can describe, I have gained so many life long friends and I know that I can talk to them about anything, no matter what.
I love you, Airtime Sterling.
