A few days ago, one of my friends lost a family member. She was going through a lot, yet she kept smiling. Everything was crumbling down, but she kept smiling. I was crying, but she kept smiling. She was handling the pain more than I could ever do if I was in her position. She is not sure of what the future has in store for her, but she is trusting that God will provide for her. She believes that weeping lasts for the night and joy comes in the morning.
I kept trying to figure out why she was so strong, and I realized that Mathew 6:25-27 says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
To my friend, this verse is my gift to you. I have no words to say or anything to give to you. God has a reason for everything. He knows best and as the good, good father that He is, He will provide for you according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Over and over again, God has promised that He will never fail. He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Mathew 11:28-30). He told us that we will face trials, but He will send the holy spirit to guide us and show us the way, and because you trust and believe him, you know to "cast all your fears upon Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
