Vocabulary seems to be one of the easiest subject, but yet the hardest to expand. Our personal vocabulary is quite set in stone once we reach college. We use the same words everyday in everyday conversations.
But I wish to expand. Words are magic, but you have to know how to use them. Whenever I hear a word that I don't know the meaning of I get a rush of ignorant anger, as I do not like feeling stupid, but then a wave of awe hit me as I think "wow they are smart."
If you want to stop feeling dumb and be the one that people call "smart," sprinkle these words into the conversation.
1. Solivagant (n.)
A lone wanderer
2. Absquatulate (v.)
To leave abruptly
3. Petrichor (n.)

4. Phosphenes (n.)

5. Sonorous (adj.)

6. Frowzy (adj.)

7. Coruscate (v.)

13. Sequacious (adj.)

Now go forth with this new found knowledge and impress everyone. Be the smartest kid in school and scoff at those who use lesser words. May your way be paved with praise and awe. I will not take all the credit for your humble beginning in the art of elocution, just 90%.
