Have you ever felt something so eerie and specific you just can't put your finger on a word to describe it? Well here are a few that you may have experienced:

1. Rubatosis

n. The unsettling awareness of your own heartbeat.

2. Adronitis

n. Frustration with how long it takes to get to know someone.

3. Anecdoche

n. A conversation in which everyone is talking, but nobody is listening

4. Vellichor

n. The strange wistfulness of used bookshops.

5. Kairosclerosis

n. the moment you realize that you’re currently happy.

6. Catoptric Tristesse

n. the sadness that you’ll never really know what other people think of you.

7. Kenopsia

n. the eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet

8. Jouska

n. a hypothetical conversation that you compulsively play out in your head.

9. Xeno

n. the smallest measurable unit of human connection, typically exchanged between passing strangers.

n. The subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
