It's that time of year again. Freshmen are moving into new dorms all over the country and saying goodbye to their parents as they start the first out of four years of college. For them it's a totally new experience, but for the seniors entering their last year it feels like a distant memory.

We all packed up our cars and said goodbye to our friends for the first time a few years ago. We started this new chapter of our lives that everyone said would be the "best years of our lives." We couldn't even imagine what would come in the next few years as college became more then just a place we go to class, for some it became a home.

So right now were seeing pictures all over social media of Freshmen dorms and them saying hello to their future, while were saying goodbye to the place we've spent so much time at. We remember the first room we ever moved into, our first college roommates and most of all we remember that we are in our final year. Those memories are some of the best we will ever make and the ones that stick with us as we move on to the final chapter at school.

If there's anything we have learned that is that time goes way too fast. As you get older it seems to fly by before your eyes. At the end of the day all you have left is the memories you've made and the pictures you've taken. Oh, and that degree too.

A word to freshmen from the upperclassmen getting ready to make this last year the best, appreciate everything. Your college years will go so fast so get involved in everything you can, have a little fun and remember that time is precious right now. Do everything you want to do, and don't do the things that don't interest you. You have the most freedom you have had yet so make the best of it.

To the seniors watching the Freshmen start their new chapter when we're closing this chapter of our lives, keep the memories with you. Never forget the best parts of college, but also remember there is so much more to look forward to in life. This is just the first chapter of many. Get ready for what true adulthood has to offer.

For now we still have time to enjoy the semesters ahead from Freshmen to seniors. Lets make the 2016-2017 the best school year yet!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
