We like to ignore certain things and pretend that they don't exist. We ignore things like the booger hanging out of your friends nose. Sometimes we ignore the way people eat. One thing that people continuously try to ignore is their own bodies.
I've been having talks with my friends about how we look. I like to have these talks because I like to see how my friends view themselves and each other. From the time we are children in elementary school and for the rest of our lives, there will be somebody at every corner trying to tell you how to look. Some girls will say they need to be on a diet or over exercise because they are fat. Some will over eat, under eat, and even not eat anything at all to achieve the "perfect body." The most absurd thing I have ever heard in this world is having the perfect body. This is crazy and upsetting because their is no such thing, but in the back of our heads we think that there is. The girls who ignore how their bodies are, are no different from the girls who are obsessed with looking like something they are not. Reasons being is because even though you pretend to not care, deep down and from a far, at least once in your life you will idolize the way someone else looks. When in reality you should idolize the way you look because you are just as beautiful.
Females were meant to come in all shapes and sizes. Just like our hair color, our shoe sizes, and the way we talk will never be the same as one another. We were all bullied by the way we looked at some point. When I lived in Detroit they made fun of how skinny I was. Yet, that same girl that was saying I was too skinny was being told she was too fat. People tell you your butt is too little, too big and that you need boobs. Some females will enhance themselves and change their body features to be this "perfect" person. In the end, that will never be achieved because that female will always believe something needs to be changed.
Ladies please listen to me! Girls cry over what they want to be. Women embrace all that they are.
Be confident in your size and remember we are not Kim Kardashian's or Kylie Jenner's. We are who we are, perfect in every size.
