When it comes to our skin, we often will search for the perfect combination to keep our skin clean, clear and flawless. For those who are looking for easy ways to keep your face clean and clear, keep reading!

I interviewed anonymously a few women who spoke about some of their handy tips that keep their face glowing. Here are a few of their suggestions:

1. Change out your bath and face towels regularly, as well as your pillow covers and bed sheets.

This is one simple suggestion that can immensely improve the quality of your skin as oil, old makeup, germs, dirt from the previous day, and other things can collect on your towels and sheets. If possible, it is suggested to clean all your towels, and pillow covers at least once a week if not twice, and your bed sheets once a week or every other week.

2. Avoid touching your face during the day.

When someone reaches up to touch their face, even if you're just resting your chin in your hands, this can often lead to break outs as bacteria gets into the skin and clogs the pores. Try during the day to avoid touching your face constantly, or resting any part of your face on your hands.

3. Remain consistent with pure, non-chemical, cleansers and moisturizers.

Each person has their own preference when it comes to face cleansers, moisturizers, and all skin products for that matter. But, try to keep consistent with brand and when you are using your face products. An easy way to insure healthy skin would be to clean your face of all makeup, or just the grime of the day, every night before bed; this will help keep your pores clean and open. Also, facial cleansing brushes are helpful tools that help keep your hands away from your face while cleaning it, and help get deeper in to the pores to clean. Pure products, or natural products, can often be valuable as chemicals might not necessarily improve your skin long term, but again, each person has a preference when it comes to which products they use.

These are three tips that can be used to help improve the quality of your skin overtime. While these might seem too simple, simplicity is often the key to a lasting routine that can make your skin if you're 88 or 18 have a soft, healthy glow. And do not forget, sleep is a skin's best friend.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
