You've probably heard about the controversial photo that captivated twitter this week, and if you haven't...well, it is probably safe to say that you just might live under a rock, because Brenna Spencer has taken the world by storm since she sent this viral tweet into the twitterverse on April 7th. Let's just say the photo she posted gives decent insight into the young woman's political views at a simple glance.

Brenna Spencer is a soon to be graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she has studied Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science.

I think it is safe to say that Brenna knows her rights as an American citizen - that's why I'm still trying to figure out what is wrong with her photo...

1. Freedom Of Speech

Does twitter realize that people are allowed to openly express their political views, even if their not liberal? Our modern political climate says otherwise. The two things twitter users everywhere are criticizing about Brenna Spencers tweet are literally dealt with within the first two amendments in the Bill of Rights. Perhaps, they should read up on this historic piece of law for a bit?

2. The Second Amendment

I understand that gun control is a hot topic right now, (and that teenagers are being massively used by the liberal media to achieve a certain agenda), but if everyone who took the time to send Brenna Spencer hate via twitter would realize that she is of age to be in the possession of a weapon, and that they do not, in fact, get to dictate the way this young woman lives her life, we could all move on to the next thing that is sure to ignite another social media frenzy.

I am sick of people being ostracized for their views. Respect should be extended to others regardless of political affiliation. We are all human, and should be treated as such.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
