My original article was going to be about Adele and Beyoncé and how they are females that I look up to. But as I began I realized that there are many other idols that constantly fight for what they believe in. Thus the list expanded and there are still many out there fighting and continuing to be an inspiration every day. To them all I say thank you.

For being herself.

2. Elizabeth Warren

For being the fighter that she is.

3. Beyoncé


For being the queen that she is.

4. J.K. Rowling

For continuously shutting it down.

For being brave and outspoken.

For empowering me to be proud of who I am.

For continuously slaying.

For reminding me how precious our planet is.

9. Lady Gaga

For advocating for equality.

For being woke.

For her views on politics and feminism.

For having swag and not apologizing for being herself.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
