All Women Are Crazy

You simply have to find the crazy that you can handle

All Women Are Crazy
Mackenzie Holmberg

All women are crazy.

Yeah, we know, but don't think that this article is about defending women by saying that men are the reason that all women are crazy (even though sometimes they play a role in it). Nope, this article is somewhat of an explanation for half the sh*t that we do that defines us as crazy.

Hormones

These little molecules are the cause of some major emotional outbursts. We have such limited control over these little guys and we ask ourselves all the time, why can't we get a grip on them? The can make women go from extremely pissed to a flood of tears. We cannot always blame them, but we are sorry that we can't always control them.

Expectations

Girls have always been dreamers, and that won't ever change. We have plans. We have dreamt of the perfect guy, house, job, etc., and we get (unnecessarily) upset when our plans don't work out. We're in the process of figuring out how to accept the reality of it all and sometimes all we need is a little time for that to set in. Some ladies never figure it out till later in life, and I'm sorry if you missed that memo.

Heartbreak

We watched a lot of princess movies growing up, and in none of them did they every get rejected or had their man leave them, or cheated on. How were we supposed to know that love isn't as easy as the movies played it out to be? When the heart gets hurt, it has two options: it can start to callous or it can bounce back and try again. Many women harden their hearts and become a challenge to love. Remember to be careful with the ones who chose to bounce back, because it wasn't easy for them to try again.

Media

Media plays a huge role in why women are so crazy. Media has boggled every women's mind. You must look this way, dress like this, but love yourself exactly how you are? Men want you to do this, or you will get a promotion if you dress like so. We want to please everyone and it's impossible.

Maturity

Some women simply aren't emotionally matured yet. They're still in the high school mentality. Always trying to be the most popular, most loved, the prettiest, the richest, etc. They simply haven't matured, and only time will tell when they will.

Feminism

Not all women actually agree with these modern feminist movements and ideas. Some of us still see the value in gender roles. That doesn't mean that women are not capable of certain jobs or tasks; they just aren't as expected out of women. We shouldn't limit people from pursuing their passions, but we don't need to change the whole system just because we need to make one person feel accepted. They mistake kindness as offensive gestures. They are the reason crazy has a negative connotation to it. Feminism has caused many crazy women to go insane.

So, yes, all of us are crazy, but crazy doesn't have to be a bad thing. You just have to simply find the crazy that you can handle. She's out there.

“You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.” Benjamin Mee, "We Bought A Zoo"

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
