It Is 2018 And Women Can Have Tattoos, Too

Leave us alone and stop telling us what we “shouldn’t” be doing.

Tattoos have become such a norm in this generation and I can honestly say that that is one thing I am super proud to be a part of.

Tattoos used to be something that you got judged for right off the bat; you couldn’t get hired if you had tattoos and you were considered basically just a bad person all around. Now, they’ve become a trend that you see everywhere you go.

Not only is it art and a beautiful way to express yourself, but it actually helps some people through really tough times in their life; whether it’s someone who fought breast cancer and they got a tattoo to cover their scars or whether it’s someone who lost a loved one and got something tattooed to remember them by. It is such a beautiful thing but for some reason, I always hear that women shouldn’t have tattoos; that’s it’s not ladylike. So here are a couple reasons why if anyone deserves tattoos, it’s women.

Women are so strong

From childbirth to periods and even sometimes working three jobs at a time, women are so strong and powerful and you want to tell us we “shouldn’t” have tattoos? Just stop.

Women are so beautiful

Our bodies are empty canvases, all different and readily waiting to be tainted with beautiful art.

Women shouldn’t always be held to such high standards on certain things

Men tell us we can’t do this and that because it’s not ladylike or it’s too much for us, yet you guys act more like babies than we do.

Women are boss ass b*tches

I don’t care if I see a woman with her entire body tattooed from head to toe because I bet you she’s walking around with a nice suit on and working her butt off, too.

Women deserve everything and more

We deserve whatever it is that our little hearts desire. Leave us alone and stop telling us what we “shouldn’t” be doing. Maybe you should figure out what you should start doing so you can get like us.

We will keep getting tattooed and you can continue to hate on us for it but we’re going to continue to show you that your opinion is irrelevant and we look bomb anyway.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
