No matter how fast I can type in the question into Google and find out the answer within .2 seconds, there's nothing like not knowing everything.

I take a math class that prepares me for college placement tests. We cover everything we learned from all of high school math to prepare us. The first two weeks of the class we were in a classroom with tangible worksheets and notes. My teacher decided to try out an online math program. Ever since that third week of September, we have been doing that program in a computer lab. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.

In fact, I have the highest average in that class, which is well over 100. All I'm saying is what happened to school? Why is it what's more convenient for others? Last time I checked, my parents' taxes were going towards teachers to teach, not for me to sit in front of a computer. I can do that at home. Of course, if you need help you can ask your teacher for help... But the majority of the time, it's me and my computer. I wish I got to finish my high school career not knowing how a SmartBoard works, or how easy it is to cheat with technology.

Not to mention all of the bullying and self-depreciation in social media, maybe we would have been better off without it. Although technology is a great advancement and very useful at times, I often wish I finished out High School without technology. And yes, a 12th-grade girl who is always on her phone wrote this.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
