Here's a poem. I hope you like it.
I Wish I Was Funny
Everyday I wish I was funny.
Others roar with the joy of their surroundings
Vibrant in spite of life
and I wish it was my fault.
Everyone appreciates funny.
It does refuses to judge
wanting only to make they days brighter;
and I wish I could bring that.
I will never be funny.
I can tell a joke, follow a bit,
and sometimes, I even get a laugh on the fly;
and I still wish I was funny.
The anticipation, the hunger,
all satisfaction coming from the opinions of others.
Its a curse, a nightmare,
all in the name of being funny.
I want to be funny like you.
Naturally, charming, intelligent,
Accessible to everyone;
yet you can't teach funny.
Don't wish to be funny.
Let life fill you with the playful, whimsical, ridiculous,
anything to get a smile;
but, never wish to be funny.
Its a waste, lingering for that joy.
You'll wait too long,
withering away;
and nothing will ever be funny.
