The other night, a friend of mine texted me and told me there was an app that everyone should download. She said that it was something that she thought I'd be very interested in it.
The name of it is Wisdo.
Now, this is not a sponsored article, so this is the true opinion of a user.
Wisdo is an app where you join different communities of like-minded people. People who deal with the same things you do ranging from depression and anxiety to eating disorder, schizophrenia, relationship issues, etc. It gives you an opportunity post about a situation you've been through or something that is on your mind and allows people to respond with advice or a bit of chatter. You can be a helper where your position to give advice to situations you've overcome. You can seek help charge-free by peers that care about your mindset and only care about your health and well-being.
Last night, I had quite a few things on my mind. They kept me up, pushed their way to the forefront of my mind and would not leave until they were addressed. I didn't have anyone to talk to, everyone was asleep. Posting my thoughts on the chat board, I almost immediately got about six people messaging me asking if I would like to talk and figure out my thoughts. I ended up in a lengthy conversation with someone studying to be a counselor.
After a while, I started getting messages from people asking for advice from me. Talking to them helped me realize solutions to some of the things I was facing in my own life. It was an amazing process and now I'm friends with some of the people I related to the most. I slept with no worries knocking at my door.
It means quite a bit to have an outlet that won't judge you for what you say, how you look, situations that you're in. It means a lot to know that no matter what you say, you can take it out and you don't have to worry about losing relationships, being unable to pay fees, time consumption or anything else that could stop a person from seeking the help that they need.
I have been spreading this app to people I know that face hardships that they aren't sure how to deal with (let's be honest, that's most of my contact list) and everyone has been coming back with gratitude because they finally have what they need without any worries.
I recommend everyone to get this app, even if they think they can handle themselves. Everyone needs a little help sometimes.
