Friends are very important to most of us, and some of us take it a bit too far- we go full mom with it. I bet you can think of a girl in your group of friends pretty quickly that takes the role of the mother.. there's always at least one. Here are a few signs that you are that Mother Hen-
You find yourself always.....
Volunteering to go to doctor appointments with them
Because someone needs to be there to hold their hand, and you want to be there with them every step of the way.
Telling them how proud you are of them when they do well on an exam
Because we all need that support, and giving a person praise after a success is very important.
Needing to approve every guy they bring home
Because if he doesn’t recognize how amazing your best friend is, he CLEARLY does not deserve her. I'm watchin' you buddy, don't screw it up.
Making sure they text you when they arrive somewhere
You may or may not be waiting by the phone every time.... you just want to know they’re safe!!
Being the one that’s there to hold them when a stupid guy breaks their heart
Because you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Reminding them to PLEASE BE CAREFUL anytime they’re about to do something reckless because you can’t handle the thought of them getting hurt
Because you love them, and if it’s preventable, why let them get hurt? The worrying gets a bit distracting when you know they're out doing things.....
Always keeping the food supply full to make sure none of your friends go hungry- especially on the bad days
You get special gifts for every holiday for each of them
Because you like watching their reactions and making them feel special. Oh and not to mention you can't resist the shopping opportunity!!
Your friends know not to come up to you and talk about recent adult activities they partook in
Because they know you so DO NOT want to hear about it.
They all come to you for advice (even if you have ABSOLUTELY NO experience with the problem at hand)
Because somehow, you think of things to say every time, and it miraculously helps most of the time.
EMBRACE YOUR MOMHOOD, SOMEONE HAS TO!
