College students are often unprepared for the snow when they are living on campus. It can be a hassle to remember to bring all of the items you may need in the case of a snow storm. However, this survival guide will provide you with not just the proper gear and great tips, but it will remind you of all the fun you can have when snowed in.

1. Make sure to have snow gear, which can include boots, gloves, heavy jacket and long socks.

2. Make sure to have all the proper utensils you need for food that you plan to eat in your dorm.

3. Make sure to order food before the storm hits because if roads are closed or your campus is closed, you'll be stuck eating the dining hall food.

4. Make sure your electronic device is charged before the power goes out.

5. Prepare a Netflix marathon session.

6. While living on a college campus, be prepared to be entered into a mandatory snowball fight.

7. Wait for the blizzard to be over in order to enter your buried car and get all the snow off.

8. Drink an ample amount of hot chocolate to keep warm on the inside.

9. Get your favorite blanket ready in case the power and heat goes out.

10. Cover yourself as much as possible when going outside.

11. Most importantly, stay safe and warm from the winter storm Jonas, and help anyone in need as much as you can.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
