Old souls out there know who they are and many old souls are thought of by friends to belong in another time period.

With a wise beyond their years' outlook on life, these souls enjoy the simpler things life has to offer rather than getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that the modern world is living. Which is why the comfy cozy vibes of winter may just make it the ultimate season for old souls.

Here are 17 reasons winter is the spirt season for an old soul:

1. Family getting together.

Your old soul is delighted by the family that surrounds you during the holidays, such as aunts, uncles, grandparents, and everyone you love surrounding you, which is one of the best presents in the world.

2. The sun sets extra early.

Suns down, time to go to bed y'all! Nothing better than getting to go to bed early with the time change that comes along with the season.

3. Nothing is better than a good book, a warm drink, and a crackling fireplace.

Get your favorite hot drink: Hot chocolate, latte, or maybe tea (whatever floats your boat.) Grab your best read and get to the fireplace. Professional's tip: Grab your snuggliest blanket and fuzzy socks.

4. Unless maybe you've got your favorite music on vinyl as you watch the snow fall.

Put your favorite holiday track on vinyl and watch that snowfall, I guarantee its beneficial to your soul.

5. Winter life is not as fast paced as summer life.

Take a chill pill and relax during the coolest months of the year. You get to enjoy the slow existence that is winter.

6. The nostalgia that comes along with the holiday's suits you well.

You remember your childhood that may not actually be that far gone. But, with an old soul, it may feel like ages.

7. With the upcoming new year, it's the perfect season to reflect.

Should you maybe stop going out as much? Time to slow down on the caffeine? Who knows, with the end of the year nearing its time to look toward a better future.

8. Guess who actually gets to dress like a grandma and totally get away with it.

Enough said.

9. Activities are often traditions made together by family.

Maybe its decorating gingerbread houses or maybe it's picking out a Christmas tree. Whatever your traditions are, the winter season is chalked full of them.

10. A totally important holiday activity is baking, which allows your house to smell delightful and belly be happy.

Cause who doesn't like the smell of warm cookies.

11. Because you are so intuned with the feelings of others around you, the season of giving feels really good.

Maybe getting gifts is fun, but the gift of giving can be the gtreatest of all. You get to watch the joy on your friend and families faces as they open their gifts and that in itself brings you immense joy.

12. Also, your so intuned with you're emotions you're totally okay with happy crying at the end of the ABC 25 Days of Christmas movies.

*End of the Christmas Prince* I'm not crying, you're crying!

13. Cuddling.

Since its so cold outside, its the perfect season to cuddle. Grab your significant other, a pet, or even a friend. It doesn't matter, as long as you stay warm.

14. The heaters are already blasting so you won't get crazy looks for saying your cold.

Now nobody is telling you to turn the heater down. HA!

15. School is out, partying has simmered down, and now you get that much wanted "me" time.

Bubble baths, candles, and Netflix and chill (all by myself) are totally in during this season and don't lie... you're totally excited about that.

16. You love stories and the family you'll see has plenty of them.

Twas the night before Christmas...

17. The scenery that comes along with the season.

It's just too beautiful to deny this season is just too wonderful to not love. Yes, it's icy and cold, but that makes for the perfect excuse for indoor activities.

So, old souls... enjoy the season that keeps on giving because winter is perfect for you to unwind and keep your soul happy!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

mu bucket list

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
