Anyone who knows me will tell you that I can Taylor Swift like no other at any given moment, air guitar and all. It is one of my many hidden talents. Taylor and I have a special connection; she has always known how to put into words what I am feeling when I can’t. From the very start, I knew that she would always know how to get through to me.

1. "Everything Has Changed."

It is the beginning of a new year and you are ready to take on winter quarter. You are positive and excited for your new classes to begin. You’ve also made those New Year’s resolutions, so you know that that will definitely spark some change in you. Your mindset is restarted and brand new. It’s going to be a great quarter!

2. "The Story of Us."

As if the first day wasn’t intimidating enough, you forget that a new quarter also means new faces to get used to, new classrooms and just an entirely new environment. You have to start over. The people you used to know aren’t in the same room as you anymore and the rooms are different and it’s just a chaotic mess. You are left all alone looking for a familiar face in a crowded room.

3. "I Knew You Were Trouble."

By now, you are past the initial excitement of the start of a new quarter. In fact, you are now toying around with procrastination and negligence. That has led you to some late nights and has left you burnt out. Everyone said those were trouble, but you didn’t listen and now you are paying for it. You wish coffee could help you.

4. "Back To December."

You start thinking back to winter break, when your responsibilities were minimal. A wave a nostalgia comes over you and you wish you could go back to the times when you actually had time to read that book you started way back at the beginning of December. Instead, you are stuck reading a daunting textbook, trying to memorize every key term because you have your first test this week.

5. "Run." (Not technically her song but she does a dang good cover.)

All you can think about is getting away for a much needed break. At this point, you don’t really care where as long as it’s away from campus, especially the library, because you’ve been spending way too many nights in there.

6. "Picture to Burn."

You have finally reached that point in the quarter where you are just completely over it.

7. “Today Was A Fairytale.”

At last, you have made it past the more stressful part of the week. You have one more final to go. You are so close, you just have to power through a two-hour exam and you’ll be done. Can you feel the magic in the air yet?

8. “Sparks Fly.”

You are now free to drop everything; you don’t really know what to do with yourself. You are captivated by this newfound freedom.

9. “Begin Again.

All good things come to an end. Spring break is over and you are back where you started. You take a deep breath and make your way to your first class, only to begin again.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
