I'm sure every college has experienced terrible winters worse than Cortland, but as a current student, I've never experienced weather like this before. In high school, I would drive my car to school and it was a two-second walk to the front door, now we have a 15-minute walk trudging up the hill to classes multiple times throughout the day...
1. Walk like a penguin!
Apparently walking like a penguin will save you from falling on your a**.
2. Why go to class, when you can stay in your bed?
-1 degree, no thank you, I'll just stay in bed until tomorrow...or the summer.
3. Why isn't class cancelled? I can't even see anything in front of me.
Convinced professors enjoy the cold weather and don't cancel class out of spite.
4. Let's see how many people we can fit in the bus at one time.
Thank the lord there's a bus system, seeing that a bus is on its way is like winning the lotto in the winter, except for when it drives away as soon as you get to it.
5. Snowing?! Ahh, perfect weather to nap.
Nothing better than your warm bed after that freezing walk back from class.
6. Why didn't I go to school down South???
I ask myself this question at least twice a day.
7. It's too cold to go outside...*goes to Twofers that night*
Everyone makes exceptions to make it out, especially on a Wednesday.
8. Let's order in, it's too cold to go to the dining halls.
In the winter, suddenly everyone's not broke anymore.
9. I'm over it, I just want the summer already.
...said every person at Cortland, but when it's summer, "I just want vest-weather already."
