Well it's officially winter, and winter break is fully underway. Here are some of the highs and lows of winter break illustrated by Spongebob gifs.

When exams are finally over.

After one of the most stressful weeks of the year, you finally get to go home and relax.

Having to say goodbye to your friends for three weeks.

Being apart from your friends is the worst thing about break.

Coming home and being reunited with your pets.

That sigh of relief when you walk through the door and they still know who you are.

Baking cookies with your family.

And eventually getting frustrated and giving up entirely, leaving them for someone else to finish.

Finally getting to sleep in.

Which will either leave you feeling refreshed or like you've wasted an entire day.

When you finally get a good home cooked meal.

School food just isn't the same.

Trying to find things to do.

Because you're not used to having this much free time.

Being reunited with your friends from high school.

Catching up with your old friends and picking up right where you left off is the best feeling.

Slipping into the routine of binge watching Netflix and eating yourself into a coma at 4:00 a.m.

If you're like me, you do this whether you're at school or at home, the Netflix marathons just get longer during break.

When you sit down at family dinner and the questions begin.

"Are you seeing anyone?" "Have you been eating right?" "What's your GPA?" "Do you have a plan after graduation?" "Do you have a job at school?"

Hoping that it will snow so you can go sledding or some other cool winter activity.

And it usually doesn't, so back to Netflix it is.

Getting in the holiday spirit.

And by this, I mean wearing the Christmas socks you got last year around the house because you usually don't go anywhere else.

Waking up on Christmas morning.

And probably knowing what you got but can't wait to open it anyways.

Going shopping with your Christmas money.

The few days out of the year that you actually have cash in your wallet.

Seeing how much your books are going to cost for next semester.

And there goes the rest of that Christmas money.

Having to say goodbye to your family.

Just as everyone is starting to get on each other's nerves again, it's time to say goodbye and head back to school.

When you finally get to go back to school.

Time for another semester where you set unreasonably high goals for yourself and slowly lower them to fit reality.

Now get back to binge-watching Netflix and enjoy the rest of your break!

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
