Winter break has finally begun! All the finals have been passed or failed and many students have completed some of the hardest semesters ever. There is no better feeling than when you are finally able to leave campus to return home. Everyone resume their old living for a few week just to return back to college. No one relates to the college struggle more than Spongebob. Here are some highly relate able Spongebob GIFS to highlight Winter Break.

1) When you finally leave your college:

There is no greater feeling then leaving campus after a long and stressful semester. Staying up till 4 A.M. and writing hundreds of papers are all in the past now that the semester is over.

2) Once you realize how empty your life is without our college friends:

Leaving your college friends can be so hard. a struggle. After spending a whole semester with some of your new best friends it's so hard to leave. Just how much you love your friends doesn't hit you till you finally part, so give them a call like now.

3) Getting to watch hours of TV :

The one thing all semester i never had the chance to do was watch TV. I never had the time to be fully immersed into a TV show. Now that classes have ended best believe I will watch alot of TV.

4) Not having to pay for food:

One benefit of going home to your parents house is not having to pay for food. Over the break you don't have to worry about all of the late night trips to McDonals and Cookout, the foods on the house.

5) When your final grades come out and you didn't fail:

There is nothing more stressful than waiting on your final grades. Some finals can either pass you or flunk you. Don't worry too hard. You did your best and all there is to do now is wait.

6) Getting reconnected with old friends:

While you're home you'll be able to reconnect with some of your old friends. After high school a lot of people go different ways. Go call up your old friends and maybe hang out.

7) Not having to study for 2 plus weeks:

One of the best things about Winter Break is not having to study for anything over the break. So take all those biochem notes and toss them aside. Take a break you deserve it.

8) Christmas Gifts

Christmas is a wonderful time. A great part of Christmas is the gifts. Being a broke college student means any gift will do. Enjoy your gifts and save some money for a rainy day., don't spend them or use them all all in one place

9) Getting to Celebrate New Years:

2017 is just around the corner. You can kiss that semester and the year goodbye, plus you can dance the night away with some of your friends.

10) The feeling when Winter Break will be over:

Sadly that day will come when you have to start Spring Semester. Just look back on the amazing times you had during Winter Break and get ready for a new and better semester.

A Few Thoughts Every College Freshman Has

The transition into adulthood is never easy

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours.
