This is the year that many people find themselves. A year for new beginnings and a fresh start. This Is the year for having fun, making new friends, and often being no where near your parents or home. This also is the year for mistakes, head-aches, regrets, and going into debt. But hey, these are the greatest years of your life, right?
You absolutely love the friends you have made in college, but after spending eight months straight with someone it can really take a toll on your patience. You may argue about who is right, but for the sake of your friendship you shall always retreat from your argument. The number one rule is: you politely excuse yourself from moments of their insanity to take a breather and tend to yourself.
You thought you left the drama for your mama when you graduated high school, but gossip never fails to travel its way around the college campus. This giant game of telephone leads to much confusion and falsity on the matter.
The week before finals you find out that you have three research papers due , a lab report , nine exams , and you must memorize and sing the school's entire alma mater to pass your class. College is still the greatest years of your life though... Right?
The food in the school’s cafeteria Is so bad that when you go out to eat at other places you can’t help but feast on these wonderful nutrients your body so badly craves. Even McDonald's seems like a 5-star restaurant compared to your school.
You meet new people every week in college, but maybe there’s that one person that you just can’t stop thinking about. This person may have told you to leave them alone, or even filed a restraining order against you but the heart wants what it wants. (Just kidding.)
You go to college for freedom, and freedom is what you get. “Choose what you want to do for the rest of your life. Choose who you want to live with for an entire year of your life. Choose what you want to have for lunch.“ The questions just never stop. Sometimes you get so worked up in these decisions, that you cant help but always be on the verge of a mental break down.
Aside from your stressful days doing homework and long nights with your newly formed friend group, college doesn’t seem so bad after all. When you put those things aside and sit down at the end of the day, this is all any college girl could ask for…
