We, as a social media must, are on every website we can possibly make a page on. Well, at least I know I am. YouTube has recently become my favorite. I've started a channel on there and am fairly satisfied with everything I'm learning about the site.
I think it's awesome how you get to follow others life and daily happenings if they so choose for you to. We also know that some very talented—and not so talented individuals have come from YouTube.
You've got Justin Bieber, Jessie J and my recent favorite William Singe.
William Singe is a musical genius. His YouTube channel and Like Page shows that he's multi talented when it comes to using different instruments, singing and even perfectly recording a video. I cheer proudly when I see that he has uploaded a new video covering a recent song.
After I swoon over his creativity, I go back and listen to all the covers that I have loved in previous weeks. I repeat the fact that he is a creative genius.
Recently, I saw that he signed a deal with someone and while most were cheering him on, there was one thing that I was most concerned about. What if they take away his sound? In the music business, all to often you see –especially if they come from YouTube that a person’s sound is only good enough for them to be signed, not stay signed.
My plea to William Singe is this: Please please stay true to what you've given your fans on your YouTube channel and Like Page. We live for that sound. Do what's best for you, not best for business. Remember what you brought with you to the table, don't allow that to be altered, toned down or changed significantly.
You are great, just the way you are. Stay that way. Your fans will thank you.
