I feel like I’ve been climbing

A never ending staircase

Trying to reach the top,

But it’s always just out of reach…

I think I can see the light at the top,

I might reach it soon,

Then I’ll be on top of the world,

Head in the clouds,

But as I look down at you I face reality…

The reality that I’m going to fall

No matter what I do.

I fell in love with you,

Now you’ll either catch me

Or let me fall…

Either way you choose

I’ll wind up broken.

The difference is whether I fall

Or jump...
