The San Antonio Spurs have been eliminated from the playoffs after being swept by the Golden State Warriors.
However, one question arises to the Spurs front office after their elimination.
"Is Manu Ginóbili going to retire?"
After the game four loss, Ginóbili, who turns 40 this July, addressed the media by saying he wasn't sure whether or not he would call it quits.
Even though there is a possibility that we will never see Ginóbili play again, he has given the Spurs an impressive run.
Coming into the league at 25, who would of thought the 57th pick in the 2002 draft would have such an impact on the organization.
Ginóbili helped the Spurs win four titles in a span of eleven years.
Although he wasn't a starter for most of his career, Ginóbili flourished in his sixth man role.
His versatility and high basketball IQ made him an instant threat every time he was on the floor.
From his no-look passes to his infamous euro-step, Ginóbili was always fun to watch especially during the playoffs.
Ginóbili's style of play fitted in perfectly in the Spurs offense which consisted of ball movement and team defense.
Before his NBA career, Ginóbili was an excellent international player.
His grit and toughness led Argentina to a gold medal over the U.S. in the 2004 Olympics.
Since he has dual citizenships, Ginóbili was able to play in both Argentina and Italy before eventually deciding to opt for the draft in 2002.
If Ginóbili does decide to retire this off-season, it will be the second season in a row that the Spurs lose a key player due to retirement.
