Well Christmas has come and gone and now we are left with 2017 looking straight at our eyes. That leaves us with the question, "What am I going to do new this year"?

Whether that question ends with weight loss, financial prosperity, or maybe something that involves relationships, it all comes down to what we are willing to do for ourselves.

Yes! That's right! The 'something new' also starts with you. You have to decide what exactly you want to change. For example, if you are looking to receive that promotion, then maybe you might want to start with listing some areas where your job is having trouble in and try to bring productivity to those specific areas. The promotion will never happen if you don't first start with you taking initiative.

One of the best reasons why you should crave to do something new is the New Year. You have a whole new year to accomplish something that you have always dreams of doing. So maybe you already got the promotion and you want to vacation to a place you have never been before. Well then you will have to first budget your finances to know exactly how much you have to spent on vacationing.

But you see, if anything is going to happen, then you have to initiate what specifically you want to have accomplished. Then the date you intend to accomplish it by.

By doing so, all you will have to do is rely on your determination to keep your New Years Resolution alive. This maybe be the hardest part; however, the results will be all worth it.

For instance, I intend to try and shake this dad bod I seem to be developing. After all the candy for Halloween, stuffing from Thanksgiving, and the carbs from Christmas dinner, its safe to say I need to shed a few pounds. Yet the first thing I have done is set a weight where I want to be.

Next I will set a date where I intend to accomplish my goal. I know that millions of other around the world have the same resolution, but will they achieve their goal? I don't know. All I know is that if I want to achieve my own goal, I will have to develop the self discipline to stop eating sweets and start hitting the overcrowded gym.

I know it won't be easy, but at least I have initiated the start of my goal by knowing what weight I want to be at. Like they say, It takes a lot more momentum moving the boulder than it does keeping it going. You CAN do anything your mind sets out to accomplish: however, it all starts with a definite plan and a deadline.

What do you say? Will 2017 be your year, or will we just have to see to you will claim 2018 'your' year? Good luck on finishing your resolutions. YOU GOT THIS!

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
