What a weekend for the National Football League. Wild Card weekend was in fact, wild. As I predicted, the Houston Texans rolled over the Oakland Raiders, final score of 27-14. And that meme says it all. Houston's defense did its job, intercepting Connor Cook three times and sacking him. Oakland played a terrible game, missing big catches, not getting a good running game, and they had their third string quarterback as their starting quarterback. For next season, Oakland needs to have a better attack at the quarterback positions and their defense needs to be better. Given that this was their first playoff game in 14 years, I believe that they have a lot to work on, but they know where they need to improve.

With that being said, Brock Osweiler will face the New England Patriots, ad Tom Brady. Brady is playing in the prime time of his life. This will be a fun game to watch because Houston and New England have a funny way to play. Through the years, New England has always outranked Houston, including this year, with a 27-0 game in Week 3 in the regular season. With New England having the first round bye for the first weekend of the playoffs, they will be well rested to beat the Houston Texans. Final score: 30-14.

No one wins in Seattle expect for Seattle Seahawks. The final score was 26-6 Seattle beating the Detroit Lions. Seattle's offense was flying all over the football field. In this game, the Detroit defense was a ghost because in every way Seattle put numbers on the board; by running backs, throwing the ball to the end zone, and just being awesome. Detroit Lions were ghost; they didn't have anything, no touchdowns, just two field goals.

Next on the agenda for Seattle is the number two seed Atlanta Falcons.

On Sunday, we saw the Pittsburgh Steelers rout the Miami Dolphins 30-12. For Miami, they played a horrible game, making turnovers through the quarterback, Matt Moore with an interception and a fumbled. Nothing went right for them, but the will improve for next season.

For Pittsburgh, they will face Kansas City Chiefs next week. With Pittsburgh playing the way they are now, with Ben Roethlisberger having a field day with Miami's defense, this will be a good game to watch.

Last but not least, we have the Green Bay Packers beating the crap out of the New York Giants in a 38-13 game. All throughout the season, Green Bay has been a little crappy with their defensively and offensively. Odell Beckham Jr dropped three big catches that would've given New York a chance to come back. But they beat New York brutally.

With this win, next Sunday they will face the number one seed, the Dallas Cowboys. Inn the last seven games that New York and Green Bay played, the team that has won that game, has won the Super Bowl. My predictions for the Super Bowl after this week is New England vs. Green Bay Packers, New England breaking that curse from the NFL. Stay tune.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
