Domestic violence is an avid crime on college campuses and in households all over the world. In 2014 there was a video of Ray Rice, a formal running back for the Baltimore Ravens, punching his fiancée multiple times leading to her becoming unconscious. From the incident two hashtags started trending on twitter, #WhyIStayed and #WhyILeft.

He is now married to his then-fiancee. After the video was shared across multiple social media platforms and the running back was forced to leave the team.
