Have you ever heard the question 'If your life was a movie, which actor/actress would you want to be you in that movie?'
Well, to me, this question is overrated. We spend most of our time admiring and comparing our lives to those who have the "celebrity" status instead of what is happening around us. We see all of those celebrities in movies, TV shows, concerts, and more.
Now I admit that I am guilty of this myself, but do we all realize that they are still human and doing their jobs like the rest of us? Yes, their jobs include making music, playing a role on TV or a series, traveling the world, and going to award shows.
When you go to a grocery store you see a bunch of magazines containing the latest gossip about the biggest celebrities around like Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and so many more. When did we all start caring more about what the Kardashians are doing than how we are living our lives?
Why do some people care that their life is not just like one of the celebrities' so much that they are willing to go through major surgeries to look like them? When did this become the norm?
Even though I watch movies and TV shows, listen to music and go to concerts (which are fun to go to and fun to watch), I will not live my life to be exactly like the celebrities. Each of us are unique and different, we are not meant to be the same and live our lives exactly like the other.
I will dress the way I want and not let today's society tell me that it is not acceptable to wear it because it is not cool. I will listen to the music that I like and watch the shows that I like no matter how unpopular it is by most of society. I will vote for who I believe would be the better candidate. I will be me no matter who society tells me who I should be.
