Why Your Wedding Should Be in Tennessee

This weekend I went to Tennessee for the wedding of my dear friend and sister in Christ, Hannah previously Little now Brown. This wedding was lovely for so many reasons! Hannah and Casey are a true testimony of pure love that waits on Jehovah.

Always those who put the Lord first in their life, it's no wonder their wedding was all about the Lord too. Besides being a great day full of happy tears and yummy food, it was a gorgeous ceremony! Tennessee is a low-key very underrated state and here is why I think everyone should get married here.

1. You can decorate a barn to your perfect liking!

There's so many ways you can transform a barn into a magical venue. The lights and draperies shown here added so much class and added a sense of a fairytale evening.

2. Getting married in a barn is just about the cutest thing.

I mean come on, who doesn't love being able to incorporate a wedding around such a perfect venue?

3. Rustic vibes are so in right now.

They are not only affordable and trendy, they give a sense of uniqueness to your wedding. Because a lot of the things you use to make your wedding "rustic" are just mismatched trinkets, it really is unique to your special day only.

4. You can have a cute little Photo Booth

Guests LOVE Photo Booths! Not only is it something additionally fun to do at a wedding, it is a perfect memory to take home.

5. You'll have a ton of room for all your friends and family

A barn is perfectly adaptable and spacious enough to have everyone you love in attendance for your special day. And its affordable! I am originally from Miami and a venue this size will cost you a pretty penny.

All in all, this has been one of the best weddings I've ever been to and I am so glad to share this day with my dear friends Hannah and Casey! Even though I have zero connection to Tennessee, I am thinking of getting married here some day, you should too!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather have a whole week off than three days, but there is a lot of down time. Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.
