So much bitterness, aggression, and hate surrounds Valentine's Day. Would it be nice to share it with a girlfriend/boyfriend? Maybe. Would it be nice to have someone buy you a fancy dinner? Probably. However, you absolutely do not need a significant other to enjoy the holiday. It's about time this thought left everyone's minds. After all, its about love. And honestly, who loves you more than your mom?
1. She cooks you food.
Recommended for you
Not just food either, but most likely the best you've ever had. Mom's cooking comes in all forms--from carb-overloaded dinners to breakfast in bed. Does it get more romantic?
2. She knows when you're upset.
You don't even have to tell her when something's on your mind or bothering you. It's a creepy, but incredible talent moms have. How many boyfriends can you do that for you?
3. She knows how to handle the aforementioned emotions.
Once you start letting it all out, she's there to comfort you in whatever way works the best. Often, this includes some of that superb cooking.
4. She doesn't care how unattractive you look.
One of the best things about moms is that they truly have seen you at your worst. They were there through all of your awkward, beginning-to-use-makeup stages. Your ugliness can't phase them.
5. She knows your favorite everything.
Name it--movie, song, meal, thing to do. How convenient is it to not have to tell someone what you like/how to do it right? Your mom is probably the one person that actually knows it all.
6. She gives the best gifts.
Ranging from creative to being exactly what you want, moms never disappoint with giving gifts. For whatever occasion or mood you're in, she gets it right every time. It can be as simple as a taco.
7. The love won't end on February 15th.
Unlike other relationships, this one won't end. Ever. So don't stress about Valentine's Day or "being alone" because you're far from it. Not only do you have a Valentine you've been overlooking this whole time, but she's the best one you could get.
