Childhood friends are the best best friends because they have been there your whole life. These kinds of friendships are very special. You know everything about each other, and you sometimes say the same things and can finish each other's sentences. The times you have with each other are so much fun and so cherished.
1. You don't have to explain life stories because they were there.
All major life events, the good and bad times, they were there. They were there when you laughed so hard that you peed your pants. They've been your shoulder to cry on and your right-hand man. They can even remember things about your life that you may not.
2. They have seen all your awkward phases, and they are still your friend.
Through all your phases, they were right there with you probably doing same things.
3. You have no shame around each other.
Anything goes. You know things about each other that no one else knows, so there is nothing to hide.
4. Their house is your house.
You treat their house as if it were your own, and they do the same.
5. You've seen and done all sorts of things together.
All crazy adventures have taken place together. All the years of going to school together, trips, sleepovers, parties and more have formed an unbreakable bond. Any of your favorite memories are theirs, too, and they can help fill in any story.
6. And because of that, you've gotten into all sorts of trouble.
Not all the adventures were good ideas, so of course you got into some trouble together.
7. You can communicate with just one look.
In a tough situation when words can't be used, "the look" is something we all know. With best friends, "the look" can mean so many different things, but somehow we know exactly what the they're trying to say.
8. You can trust them with anything.
You know that you can go to them with anything and everything, and you can trust them with any secrets.
9. TBT pictures are always the best/worst pictures.
Since you've known each other your whole lives, the embarrassing pictures are endless.
The friendships we make through life are all special and have an impact in our lives. Best friends are few and far between. My best friends are the ones I've had my whole life, my childhood friends, and I couldn't imagine life without them. The bonds I have made with my best friends are unbreakable and will last a lifetime.
