If you've never heard of the show "The X-Files," you're about to. "The X-Files" is about two FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully who work as a team to uncover strange cases and the truth about the extraterrestrial possibilities. Scully is a skeptic assigned to "the x-files" with Mulder who wants to find life on any planet but this one. It has been ranked third for Top 100 Best Television Series according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, the show is a bit long with about twenty two episodes per season (there are nine seasons) But don't worry! It's a great show to start and it's already on Netflix and isn't going to be taken off anytime soon so you can watch it whenever. A best friend of mine recommended the show to me and I have been on the edge of my seat, couch, and bed during every episode. The show is full of conspiracies and trust issues but coming from someone who almost never watches television, I encourage everyone to watch it and here's why:
According to The Hollywood Reporter it is the third best television series out of one hundred!
It will keep you open minded. That doesn't mean it will make you believe in aliens, well actually it might.
There are multiple strong female characters. There are two starring female leads who are agents Dana Scully (in gif) and Monica Reyes who you'll meet later in the show.
It's actually funny even with the corrupt government setting. Mulder really brings comedy to the show with his weirdness and Scully with her sarcasm.
There are characters who you'll love. These guys are seriously the best.
And then there are characters who you'll love to hate. I'll leave you to find out the not-so-trustworthy men and women.
But this show still makes you not trust anyone. Not even Mulder and Scully can save the day every time, but that's what makes the show interesting.
I have to say the show is pretty frustrating but that's what makes it addicting. However please don't go pouring gasoline on yourself, you may not be as lucky as Mulder.
The best part? It's on Netflix! That's right and it won't be leaving anytime soon.
There's even a 2016 mini series! Not on Netflix but it's out there, like the truth.
Mulder and Scully are goals. Both are hardworking and not afraid to bend government rules. I also recommend not trying.
Finally, you'll want to believe.
