"Cabs are here!" So as a Jersey Shore native, I usually shoot down every stereotype MTV's Jersey Shore has brought to my hometown, but the older I get the more I truly appreciate the show for what it is. This hilarious six-season show has made the Jersey Shore famous for things like GTL, Karma, and fist pumping. Even though none of these things actually have anything to do with New Jersey, it's still super entertaining to watch the cast take the boardwalk by storm. The series seems cheesy at first, but once you start watching you really get attached. They bring you into the lives of a bunch of party-animal "guidos" who love tanning as much as they love being stupid drunk. My roommates and I have made it a habit of putting it on during every meal, and steal the cast's idea of having "Sunday dinner" every weekend. There are so many reasons why you should binge watch Jersey Shore and here are just some reasons why:
1. The cast is actually super relate-able.
Even though the cast is super over the top and ridiculous at times, they are really just like us college kids. They over eat, over a drink (a LOT), get into fights with their roommates, and go through copious amounts of relationship drama just like your average student. Even though their full grown adults, they still go through a lot of different hardships just like us. Plus, actually watching them deal with the drama is absolutely hilarious
2. You can live vicariously through them.
When I'm procrastinating writing a paper or doing my homework, watching Jersey Shore is the best because I can just live vicariously through them by watching their summer filled with fun and shenanigans. Between their crazy club nights and their silly prank wars, watching them have the time of their lives makes me want summer back. Six seasons of this craziness leaves me breathless after watching them do the funniest and craziest things.
3. At the end of the day, they are regular people with real lives.
Even though the cast puts on a front that their either uneducated or just stupid, they are just normal people who just so happen to have a camera following them around at all times. They act insane and do wacky things, but it's hard to remember that they are real people with real problems. Throughout the many seasons, they prove that they have problems of their own just like any normal person. The cast really comes together like a family and works through their problems. They're a hilarious bunch that makes it really easy to get addicted to watching.
