Why You Should Pray For Your Future Husband

Why You Should Pray For Your Future Husband

Every girl dreams of her future husband. The man who will one day sweep her off of her feet and make her feel like she is the only girl in the world. The perfect man would be tall, dark, and handsome. He would be romantic and have a sense of humor. He would treat my mom with the utmost respect, and would crack jokes with my dad. We spend our entire lives waiting for "him." Instead of waiting, maybe we should be preparing.

I think the most important characteristic for me has always been to find a man of God. Someone who could be my spiritual leader, and can grow along side of me. I dreamed of late night devotions and raising our children in church. Maybe it sounds corny, but I don't take my relationship with Jesus lightly, and I want to find a man who feels the same way.

Future husband, if you're reading this, know that God and I talk about you all of the time. I ask him to lay his hand on you, and to help you through whatever it is you're going through. I pray for you every day. It has become the norm for me to mention you in my prayers. You are an important part of my life, and I want to include you in any conversation I have with God.

Girls, pray for your future husbands. Even if you aren't a part of his life right now, you will be soon, and you need to prepare yourself spiritually for the relationship. As crazy as it seems, he's going to need you just as much as you need him. In fact, he already needs you. Regardless of what you want in a husband, God is going to lead you towards "the one." His purpose goes far above ours and he will match us with the right one. The praying helps with doubts and patience as well. When you feel like you will be alone forever, or that maybe you missed your chance to find love, take the time to mention him in your prayers. Do it for the both of you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
