11 Reasons Why You Should Love Baseball

There are many reasons why I think baseball is a wonderful sport and why I think others should take the time to go to an MLB game and experience the wonderful sights of the beautiful game. Here are a few of those reasons!

1.Baseball is America's pastime

As long as I have been alive, baseball has been THE sport to play for little boys and girls. From my three brothers growing up playing baseball, to it being the perfect sports venue, and to baseball being the one sport to survive economic endeavors and national hardships, baseball is the one sport America will continue to support and watch no matter how boring it is (and we all know it's boring sometimes with a ball we can barely see and 9 straight innings).

2. Baseball Pants

Is this even something that should be explained? ALL girls should love guys in baseball pants.

3. The food

Every sporting event has wonderful, greasy, unhealthy food that EVERYONE cannot resist buying, but baseball has it all. From hotdogs to pizza, to nachos, to peanuts, to sunflower seeds, which are a must when it comes to watching baseball, and who can forget the cracker jacks?! A classic... Everything is so wonderful and everyone wants to eat it all.

4. The thrill

Although baseball can be a pretty boring sport, there is always some type of thrill to it. Maybe it's not a game being so close that you're on the edge of your seats like football or basketball, but it is probably something more like someone streaking across the field or someone messing up the "take me out to the ball game" song for the 7th inning stretch. There is always something to be surprised with at a baseball game.

5. The favorite player

For me, this player is Freddie Freeman. I have always been a braves fan for as long as I can remember. I wait all year for opening day where I can watch Freddie step up to bat or work his magic at first base (even if it means he just stands there, I mean he's still fun to look at).

6. Home runs & foul balls

There are very slim chances you will leave a basketball game with the game ball or an NLF game with the football they used. Many times at baseball games foul balls and home runs are hit straight to you, so be ready with your glove!

7. At Bat Warm-Up Music

The music at baseball games always makes me want to get up and dance. And often times there's that one guy who's had too many beers and gets his smooth moves on the big screen...

8. The Mascots

Their dance moves and actions may not makes sense, and that's why they're so fun to watch!

9. Rain Delays

Sounds terrible? Nah, playing in the rain with all your friends in the warm spring and summer months while waiting for the game is much more fun than it sounds! And if you're lucky, it'll leave a rainbow.

10. Ticket Prices

Ticket prices for baseball are SO CHEAP! If you're wanting to go to a game but you're a college kid ballin' on a budget like me... no worries! Tickets come as cheap as a meal at Zaxby's.

11. The Long Season

Baseball has such a long season, so if you're booked up in your schedule for a month or two it's okay, baseball will still be going on.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
