Most people friend zone the funny girl and don’t ever give her a fighting chance, but in reality she would probably be the best girlfriend you would ever have. So here are five reasons to date the “funny girl."

1. Obviously, she will always make you laugh.

Being the hilarious person she is, she will always make your bad days good and your good days better. Talking to her will always be a treat because she will always have something witty to say. You will never get bored of her over-excitement to tell you what happened to her that day because you know it will always end in a laugh.

2. All of your friends will love her.

She can always roll with the punches when hanging with your bros and is not afraid to give it right back to them. Hanging out with her and your best guy friends will never be an awkward situation.

3. She is confident in herself.

Embarrassing her is tough because she is confident enough to make jokes at herself at her own expense. Being able to crack jokes in front of people is not easy, and she has the balls to do it. Her confidence will rub off on you, and she will push to do things that you would never try on your own, but why would you want to? Because doing things with her is always better.

4. She doesn't sweat the small stuff.

Being the goofy gal she is most of the time, fighting with her is a rare occurrence. When it does happen it is always pointless because she always leaves you in tears from laughing at all her jokes.

5. You will have more good memories than bad.

All the memories you share together will always be ones that you look back on fondly because you spent most of them laughing. All those crazy adventures you two share will always have a special in your heart.

At times. funny girls may seem like they can never be serious, but when it comes down to it, they are probably the most loyal, down to earth and lovable girls that you will ever meet. If you get the chance to come across one hold on to her tight and never let her go.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
