I love having short hair and I encourage anyone who is thinking of cutting their hair to do the same. Here are some reasons I cut my hair and maybe some reasons why you might want to try it out.

1. Hair grows back

Don't sweat it! Even if you hate your short hair, it will grow back!

2. Lots of different styles

One of my fears when cutting my hair was getting bored with it, but with so many different hairstyles and dyes you'll never get bored.

3. It's easy to handle

One of the main reason people cut their hair short is because of how easy it is to get ready! It will let you get an extra half an hour of sleep.

4. Look your ideal age

Short hair makes the young look older and the old look younger.

5. No more bad hair days

It is hard to have a bad hair day with that little amount of hair. Although it's still possible, I find it happens much less often.

6. Hats and headbands are perfect for bad hair days if you have them

If you do have a bad hair day you have to invest in some accessories to hide it. It might take a while to find the perfect hat for you hairdo but the headbands are easy.

7. You get to become best friends with your hairdresser

So if you decide to keep your pixie hair cut then you will have to visit the hairdresser pretty often. I go about every two months.

8. Growing it out is not as awful as people think

So since I had a pixie cut then grew it out and then immediately cut it again, I can say from first hand experience it's really not that bad. There are some really cute hair cuts that go along with growing your hair out and you get to see what you look like with all of them.

9. It always looks professional

Since a pixie hair cut is hardly ever unruly, it is always work ready! This is one of the main reasons I cut my hair off again, because my long frizzy hair was not office ready.

10. Summer lovin'

Although a little chilly in the winter - refer back to number 6 on hats - a pixie hair cut is perfect for the hot weather.

11. Just cut it off!

If you find yourself always wearing your hair up and getting sick of your old hairdo, cut it off! Remember that hair grows back, so stop being a scaredy cat and just do it!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
