Being happy is something that many people strive to be. However, with the stresses of life and the constant presence of minor and major tragedies, happiness can be hard to find. Even when there are many reasons to be sad or frustrated, here are four good reasons why you should be happy right at this moment.

You are lucky enough to live another day.

Just the fact that you were able to wake up, get out of bed, and go on with your normal routine is something to smile about. Life is short and every single day is a blessing.

Happy people get more done.

If you are happy you are likely to have more energy and be more motivated. When you are more motivated, you will get things done faster which leaves you with more time to do things that make you even happier.

If you are happy, you can make others happy.

Happiness is contagious. When other people sense your positive attitude, it wears off on them and can improve their attitude. Simple things such as smiling at others or complimenting them could make their day. You have the power to make someone else happy, so do it!

There are people who love and care about you.

No matter how alone you feel, there will always be people who care immensely about you. Knowing that there are people who love you and want you to be happy is a reassuring thing. The sooner you realize how important you are to other people, the easier it is to be happy.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand.
