Why You Should Be At Tridelta Gameday

This Saturday, October 22nd, the Fightin' Texas Aggie football team plays the Alabama Crimson Tide in what seems to be the faceoff of the season. It is a football game you don't want to miss! If you can't make it down to Tuscaloosa to watch the game in person, well, 12th Man, do I have a treat for you!!

Come and watch the A&M vs. Alabama game at the Tridelta House at 1503 Olympia Way!! A ticket includes an awesome watch party full of food, live music, and lots of fans ready to cheer on the Aggies! Fun fact: Tridelt's Gameday event last year won an award for the 'Most Outstanding Philanthropy Event' out of all of the Tridelta chapters across the nation! We, as a chapter, want to outdo last year and raise even more money than we ever did! Here are just a few reasons you should make it out on Saturday:

You will probably be watching the game anyways, so might as well do it with lots of friends and food too! I encourage you to get a group of friends and come out and eat some delicious food!! This is a way to get together and not have to worry about all the planning (or the cleaning up afterwards!). Also, it will be a great opportunity to meet new friends!

There's a group of Tridelta girls ready to serve you! We want you to come to our house, feel relaxed and just enjoy yourself. If you need anything at all why you are here, I know there is hundreds of girls who would be ecstatic to serve you!

Live music from James Taylor!!! Oh yes. At halftime, James Taylor will be here performing and it is something you definitely don't want to miss. Come out and hear some amazing music from an amazing guy!

Help to raise money for St. Jude Research Hospital and see the heart behind Tridelta. This is by far the most important and the whole reason we work so hard to put on this whole shindig in the first place. All proceeds will go to support childhood cancer at St. Jude Research Hospital. Did you know that when a patient is invited to St. Jude, their family does not have to pay a single dime? That's right: absolutely zero dollars. This is because they want families' only worry is to be for their child and their fight against cancer. This is why they depend on fundraisers such as Gameday! We would love if you would assist in this fundrasing effort and help us to raise as much money as possible for St. Jude!!

So, head on out to the Tridelta house on Saturday at game time and enjoy a fun and relaxed day as we cheer on the Aggies to 7 and 0 against Alabama!!! Get a ticket for $5 from any Tridelt and get some friends and come out to support St. Jude!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
