Why You Should Add Seeing A Classic Rock Band To Your Summer Bucket List

As most of my summer articles will be, this is inspired by what I have done so far since starting summer break. I went to a Journey concert last week, and that coupled with the Springsteen concerts I have attended with my dad over the years has reminded me that there is a place in everyone's life for some good old rock and roll. The thing about rock concerts is that they are timeless. They are about sharing a love for music, and even though we as millennials can't relive the glory days of rock songs from the 80's like so many of the other audience members in the crowd at these classic rock concerts, we can appreciate the American culture that is rock and roll. I promise, there is nothing more fun than jamming to a song that everyone in the country knows, even if it is overplayed. Hearing a guitar solo live takes even "Don't Stop Believing" to an unimaginably cool new level. Here are some other things to consider before settling on a summer full of country concerts.

1. People know what they are talking about. Rock has an amazing history, and rock fans are dedicated to the music that our country brought to life.

2. Power ballads. These are the songs when the entire crowd joins together to act out their favorite heartbreak harmonies.

3. People watching....You may not know all of the songs. So, within a huge crowd full of people of all ages, for every "normal-" looking fan, there is a funky die hard that will be rocking out to the point of entertainment just as great as the song that you don't recognize.

4. It's fun for the whole family.

5. People are just there to enjoy some great music. No one cares what you look like or how you do it.

6. Guitar solos.

7. Great jams.

8. Lifelong couple goals.

9. You may hear something new that you like.

10. Summer nights are a perfect match for loud music.

11. Classic rock concerts won't always be around. So, being able to say you saw one of the greats is a limited time opportunity to take advantage of.
