Why You NEED to Vote!
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump

As you all may know we are entering the tail end of the 2016 presidential election, which will determine the 45th president of the United States. This election has been nothing more than a roller coaster ride. The debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump has been quite the......lets just say experience, and we've been right in the middle of it. A lot of voters don't know whether to vote for Clinton or Trump, or either don't want to vote for Trump and is stuck all together. Well I'm here to tell you why you need to vote.

You need to vote because this election determines the very outlook of the country. I'm not going to discriminate nor say who I'm voting for, but I will say that one candidate seems to be more for the job. In order to be commander in chief for the position of president of these United States, you must be acquit and have some order of what you are going to do. I'm telling you the reader to get out and vote for the person you feel will lead this country to a safe path.

Another thing I would take in hand is of course your family. Which candidate do you feel is comfortable for taking care of your family. Over the past 4 years President Barack Obama has created over 15 million jobs, but even he will say that we have a bunch of work to do. Some citizens feel that nothing has been done in the fact of impacting their life or their neighborhood. So as citizens of the US we must elect a president who has family values and who will take the White House to new heights.

One more reason I feel you should get out and vote is the fact of our safety. As we all know a lot of stuff has been going on such as police brutality, gun violence, killings, etc. Now both candidates for the job have been tested when it comes to these sensitive subjects, but I can't stress enough how much one of them I would be just afraid if they were in power. This is a democracy not a dictatorship, that's all I'm going to say.

Go out and vote ladies and gentlemen, this election is very important and every vote matters. This election be apart of history and vote for the candidate you feel that will lead this country in the right path. Especially to my fellow citizens in North Carolina, I believe we've taken enough L's this year. Early voting is now currently going on, make a difference and mark your name in history.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
