1. Saint Joseph of Boqueria Market


Also known as La Boqueria it is the most famous marketplace in Barcelona. It's main entrance is located at La Rambla and welcomes all people, locals and tourists alike. It is a sight to be seen, so if you ever find yourself in Barcelona make your way to this amazing marketplace and check it out for yourself.


2. Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter was the city center of Barcelona hundreds of years ago. It reaches from Via Laietana to La Rambla and it is here where you will be able to find some of the most prominent buildings in Barcelona like City Hall, the Temple of Augustus and the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia. The beautiful gothic architecture stands in stark contrast to the modern buildings surrounding it, but it is definitely a sight to be seen.

3. Gaudi's Architecture

Antoni Gaudi has been one of the greatest architects to come out of Spain. He has buildings like Casa Batllo or La Padrera that make you stand in awe. He has turned the city of Barcelona into a city of art from his work. Pictures don't do his work justice so go and immerse yourself into his artistic creations.

4. Sagrada Familia (Holy Family)

Its official name is the Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family and it is the most well known work of Antoni Gaudi. Unfortunately it has yet to be finished, for the simple fact that construction is funded by private donations. This cathedral is still a wonder to be seen and no trip to Barcelona is complete without making this one of your stops.

5. Festes de la Mercè (Patronal Parties)

Mostly for a younger crowd, these massive parties take over the streets with performances and fireworks. Enjoy partying until the sun rises with concerts by the sea and being lost in a crowd of thousands of people who are there for the exact same reason as you, to have a good time.

6. Magic Fountains of Montjuïc

The Magic Fountains of Montjuïc is found at the top of Barcelona is known for having amazing light shows at night. If you're traveling with your significant other make a stop to watch this beautiful show and end your night on a romantic note.

7. Beaches

You wont find these beautiful beaches in the heart of Barcelona, but it doesn't mean that they aren't worth the trip out of the city. Not far from the center of Barcelona you will find beautiful isolated Mediterranean beaches that will make you feel totally free and at peace. If you are looking for a place that will make your jaw hit the sand make the trip to Cala Forada. You'll be happy you did.

8. Art

Barcelona has also amazing art galleries throughout the city. The most famous gallery in Barcelona is Miro’s Galleries, known for having the greatest paintings and sculptures in the whole city. Take a day to explore the art and immerse yourself in the culture of the city.

9. Fashion

Europe is a hotspot for trending fashion with cities like Paris, France and Milan, Italy, Barcelona stands with them as a place where fashion thrives. Competing with international Fashion Weeks, Barcelona has the Barcelona Fashion Show 080, where top brands take to the stages around La Rambla. This is where you see the fashion scene in Barcelona shine in the spotlight and well worth a visit if you're in town for these amazing shows.

10. Soccer

Barcelona has one of the best soccer teams in the world. In the last decade Barcelona has been the best team the world has ever seen with Lionel Messi leading the team. Messi has been considered one of the best players in the world and in history. Soccer is an important part of the city and if you have the chance to get tickets to see a game it is worth your time.
